How many unit cubes will it take to fill the box?

Instructions

  1. Unfold the edges of the box by clicking on them. You can fold or unfold them whenever you want. You may wish to start with the front and right sides folded down.
     
  2. To add a unit cube, click on the unit cube. You can also add a long (a row of unit cubes) or a flat (a layer of cubes) by clicking on the appropriate button.
     
  3. To remove the last addition, click on the REMOVE LAST button or to remove all items in the box, click on the CLEAR button.
     
  4. To change the dimensions of the box, enter your new dimensions and click CHANGE BOX. You must click on CHANGE BOX for the numbers you entered to be used.
     
  5. How can you determine the volume of any box given its width, length and height?
     
  6. How can you determine the surface area of any box given its width length and height?
