CMP Graduate Assistants participated in this event by creating posters based on research done with the curriculum. The purpose of the conference is to fuel discussions about efforts to improve K-16 teaching and learning STEM. It allows researchers and collaborators to share challenges and generate new ideas.
Elizabeth Phillips, AJ Edson, and Yvonne Slanger-Grant will be speaking at this year’s NCSM and NCTM Research Conferences in San Diego, California. These conferences focus on important issues for leaders in mathematics education and will be held April 1st to 3rd, 2019.

The 2019 CMP Users’ Conference will be held on February 22 – 23, 2019 on the campus of Michigan State University. The theme is deepening students’ mathematical understanding in inquiry-based classrooms.
Meet Chuck Fessler! Chuck is a Ph.D candidate in the Program in Mathematics Education. He is interested in how students learn and understand topics related precalculus.
Maggie Ozias joined CMP in September of 2018. She is a sophomore undergraduate studying Mathematics, with minors in Physics and Graphic Design. She hopes to go into education, and teach high school math.
Pearson has announced that all CMP3 users can log into the Realize platform using their Dash credentials. In addition, there are new materials that are offered free as part of CMP3 on Realize.

We like to think it's the anticipation for school to start back up and for us to get back to working with great teachers and wonderful kids. But starting back up is never easy. So here are some things you may have missed over the summer and some items to help kick off your school year.

Kate is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate at PRIME. Her interests center around how to support teachers’ enactment of mathematical tasks that encourages students to employ various types of mathematical thinking.
