Taren Going

My name is Taren Going.  I am a 1st year student in PRIME at MSU.  I am originally from Utah, where I spent the last several years teaching middle school math/science and math at an online high school.  Before that I got BS degrees in physics and math, and my MEd in science education.  My research interests center around how mathematical reasoning is developed in the middle grades, especially understanding and construction of proofs.

My husband and I have two daughters (3 and almost 1), so my favorite thing to do is sleep past 5:00 am.  I also love to play the piano and knit.  I'm excited to be here at MSU, and especially to be a part of CMP!
