In August of 2014, CMP launched a Facebook group dedicated to new and experienced CMP teachers and teacher leaders. The purpose behind this group was to allow teachers to network and provide an outlet for discussions across various aspects of teaching and learning with the Connected Mathematics Project curriculum.

Since then, membership has grown to nearly 400 people. From Alaska to Florida, teachers are having important discussions on improving learning in the classroom. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Unit Specific Questions
  • Resources Available (CMP and Non-CMP)
  • DASH
  • Supplies
  • Professional Development
  • Differentiation
  • Technology
  • Pacing
  • Teaching Techniques
  • Scope and Sequence
  • Grades
  • Classroom setup and management
  • Assessment
  • Implementation of CMP

To become a member, all you need is a Facebook account. Upon request to join, a CMP staff member will approve you within 24 hours. A simple screening process occurs to keep spam out of the group.

The only request is that images of students are not posted where the student can be identified or no mention of students by his/her actual name.
