June 20 marked the kick off of the 21st annual Getting to Know CMP Workshops and the newly created Digging Deeper into CMP Workshop. Both workshops focused on enhancing mathematics education structure for middle school students.

Connected Mathematics 3 (CMP3) students focus on problem-solving strategies, habits of mind, and mathematical proficiency. CMP3 supports both teachers and students in building these skills, and continues this support with these new resources.

The CMP team is packing up and heading west to present at the 48th annual NCSM Conference in the Oakland-San Francisco Bay area in California. The conference will be held April 11 to 13, 2016 and focuses on the important issues for leaders in mathematics education.

Since August of 2014, membership for the CMP Facebook group has grown to nearly 400 people. Teachers from all over the country and world are having important discussions on improving learning in the classroom.
Many participants left this year's CMP Users' Conference feeling re-energized and eager to try to new ideas in their classrooms. The conversations were engaging and insightful, focused around mathematics teaching, learning, and assessing for all CMP classes.
