Update on CMP4 - January 2023

For the 2022-2023 school year, we have over 500 teachers participating in field-testing from 21 states and 5 countries. These sites provide a diversity of populations to help thoroughly test and provide feedback for the next version of CMP curriculum.

We have been energized by the positive feedback. Current feedback suggests that the new CMP4 features are successful, with more students engaged in deeper mathematics. Teachers are also reporting better pacing and less need for modifications for students with special needs.

“We used the field test materials for the 21-22 school year and really liked the new STEM like platform with the claims and alternate ways for students to engage with the concepts and skills.” 

“The rewrite of this unit was INCREDIBLE! My students left the unit able to articulate rate and ratio in ways I have never seen or heard in previous years…I can't say enough about the quality of the mathematical reasoning and vocabulary my students used in our conversations. They were empowered and articulate. They saw many different ways to connect the ideas learned in the two previous units and to apply these concepts in the problems presented.”
